MDCAT 2024
197 questions, every answer verified. Free to try.
ℹ️ 197 of 200 questions available. Q2 is left out because the correct answer (virion) is not an option and UHS removed it from marking; Q11 prints the correct option twice; Q110's diagram options are missing from our source.
When the official key is wrong, we say so.
Every answer here is checked against the official key published for that paper. Where the key and the subject disagree — and on some papers that happens dozens of times — we mark the answer the science supports, and the explanation on that question says plainly that we have departed from the key and why. One paper's published key turned out to belong to a different paper code entirely.
Where a question cannot be resolved at all — an unreadable scan, a missing diagram, an option the original paper never printed — we switch it off rather than guess, and the paper's own note tells you how many are missing and which. That is why a paper can read 218 of 220 instead of a tidy 100%: the number is the truth about the paper, not a target.

Example of viruses having a polyhedral capsid that is with 252 capsomeres is:
- A.Adenovirus
- B.Tobacco Mosaic Virus
- C.Influenza virus
- D.Bacteriophage
Show answer
Answer: A. Adenovirus — An adenovirus has a polyhedral (icosahedral) capsid built from 252 capsomeres.
- Q2 · MDCAT 2024 · Fundamental Concepts of Chemistry
Number of moles in an element is directly proportional to:
- A.Mass of an element
- B.Empirical formula mass
- C.Molar mass of an element
- D.Formula mass
Show answer
Answer: A. Mass of an element — Moles = mass ÷ molar mass, so at a fixed molar mass, moles are directly proportional to mass.

- A.Dissipates after collision
- B.Increases after the collision
- C.Reduces after the collision
- D.Before and after collision remains same
Show answer
Answer: D. Before and after collision remains same — In an elastic collision, total kinetic energy is conserved — it's the same before and after.
