Advanced Mathematics — 50 MCQs (50%)
50 MCQs (50%) — FSc calculus, trigonometry, algebra, geometry and vectors.
FAST's admission test for BS Computer Science and Engineering is computer-based, with each section timed on its own, negative marking and no calculator. FAST publishes the weights — Advanced Mathematics 50%, Basic Mathematics 20%, Analytical Skills & IQ 20%, English 10% — and the paper is usually 120 MCQs in 120 minutes (50, 20, 20 and 30). FAST lists no chapters, so the topics below follow the FSc and matric courses, and the counts are the practice MCQs we hold on each. The same test is used at every FAST campus.
50 MCQs (50%) — FSc calculus, trigonometry, algebra, geometry and vectors.
20 MCQs (20%) — percentages, ratios, averages, speed and work, mensuration.
20 MCQs (20%) — series, coding, blood relations, directions and logic puzzles.
30 MCQs (10%) — vocabulary, sentence completion, grammar and reading.
