FAST Aggregate Calculator 2027
Enter your Matric, FSc and FAST admission test marks to get your FAST-NU merit aggregate on the university's own formula. Pick your programme first: Computing and Business are 50% test, 40% FSc, 10% Matric; Engineering is 33% test, 50% FSc, 17% Matric. Or set a target aggregate to see the test score it takes.
Enter your marks and NU test score to see your aggregate.
How the FAST-NU aggregate is calculated
Computing & Business:
Aggregate = (NU test marks ÷ 120 × 50) + (FSc / HSSC % × 0.4) + (Matric / SSC % × 0.1)
Engineering:
Aggregate = (NU test marks ÷ 120 × 33) + (FSc / HSSC % × 0.5) + (Matric / SSC % × 0.17)
Worked example (Computing & Business): Matric 1000/1100 (90.91%), FSc / HSSC 900/1100 (81.82%) and 70/120 in NU test:
- Matric / SSC × 10% = 9.091
- FSc / HSSC × 40% = 32.727
- NU test × 50% = 29.167
Total: 70.985%. Every NU test mark is worth 0.417 aggregate points, so NU test is still the part you can move the most.
FAST-NU aggregate FAQs
What is the FAST-NU aggregate formula?
For Computing programmes (CS, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science, Cyber Security) and Business programmes, FAST weights the admission test 50%, HSSC 40% and SSC 10%. For Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Computer) it is 33% test, 50% HSSC and 17% SSC.
Which FSc marks does FAST use?
Your Part I and Part II marks together, or Part I alone if your Part II result isn't out yet. A Level and O Level students use their IBCC equivalence certificates.
What are the minimum marks for FAST?
60% in SSC for every programme. In HSSC, 50% for Computing and Business programmes and 60% for Engineering. Computing programmes also need Mathematics in HSSC.
Can I use SAT or NTS NAT instead of the FAST test?
Yes. FAST accepts its own admission test, the SAT, or NTS NAT (NAT-IE for Engineering; NAT-IE or NAT-ICS for Computing). This calculator is set up for the FAST test; check the current prospectus for how FAST scales a SAT or NAT score into the 50% (or 33%) test share.
Does the FAST test have negative marking?
Yes, FAST says the admission test has negative marking and calculators aren't allowed. Enter your marks after the deduction, which is why this calculator accepts decimals. Skipping a question you can't narrow down is often safer than guessing.
How many MCQs are in the FAST test?
The BS CS/Engineering paper is usually 120 MCQs in 120 minutes: Advanced Math, Basic Math, Analytical Skills/IQ and English. FAST doesn't publish the total, so this calculator takes 120 as the paper's marks.
What aggregate do I need for FAST?
FAST doesn't announce a cutoff in advance. Closing merit differs by programme and campus and moves every year. Take last session's closing merit for your programme and campus, add a margin, and use it as your target in the 'NU test score I need' tab.
